Toka

He is named after the Toka people indigenous to the local area in Zambia.  With his poster-boy looks, his huge frame, and his lazy nature, Toka has become something of a legend at Livingstone.  As a cub, he was notorious for not being too keen on going anywhere.  Toka has always been far more content to snooze in the grass.  This impressive looking lion might be lazy, but his charismatic nature, and stunning good looks have earned him a legion of adoring fans.  He’s also a bit of a winner with the lion ladies.  He shares his enclosure with Temi, and can also be found with Subi and Nyika, chatting through the fence.  Long may this legendary king reign at Livingstone.
