Kovu

This is a Swahili name meaning “scar”.  Possibly the biggest lion we’ve ever had at Livingstone, Kovu is HUGE!  He’s also extraordinarily handsome and very calm and gentle.  Kovu has always enjoyed human and lion company and is a mild-mannered presence at Livingstone.  He shares his enclosure with the girls Nkoya, Nembwe, Kasama and Namwala.  This very gentle giant wears his crown with quiet assured dignity.
