From 1st March, a group of us will be participating in a step challenge to raise funds for the Livingstone Lions. Together we will complete the 14,320,000 steps it would take to walk from London, UK to Livingstone, Zambia. I guess we’re going to need sturdy shoes!

We’re in Algeria (sort of….)!
Marhaba! Our intrepid team of 12, have ‘stepped’ from London to the south coast of the UK, swum the Atlantic, and have landed in Algeria. We’re now on the right continent and heading south. So far we’ve raised 84% of our £1000 (GBP) target, which is a fair few lion dinners! Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far!! xxx 
Out of Algeria, Through Niger and Into Nigeria!
Ha far Nigeria! Well, the trek across Algeria proved to be a lengthy one, but we finally crossed the border and are now through Niger and into Nigeria. All 12 of us are still on track for reaching Livingstone within the 100 days. We are nursing some sore legs and feet as the daily number of steps required by each member to keep us on target starts to take its toll. However, motivated by the lions and also the great company of our fellow walkers, we are keeping going. We’ve smashed our £1000 GBP target and are now heading towards £1500 GBP. Bonjour! We are now walking through Cameroon and we have Zambia in our sights! Yes we’re nursing some injuries amongst us, and yes this is proving to be a tough challenge, but yes we are on target. We’ve now walked 11,098,062 steps, and are 2593km away from Livingstone. The end is in sight! We’re tired, weary, and thought we’d never get through Cameroon, but we’ve now crossed the border. Our fundraising has now reached £1337, so we’re almost at our £1500 target. If we can achieve it as we make our final push to Livingstone, that would be amazing. Money is literally lion dinners!
